Advanced Mentoring NEW!

Includes a special grouping and presentation of sub-courses on Advanced Mentoring, to assist all mentees. Sub-courses include: The Road to Registration, Guidelines for ECSA Reports, the Bridge to Industry, Engineering Design and Problem Solving, Professional Engineering Management, Engineering Economics, Materials in Engineering Design, Engineering Standards.

22-23 January 2024, 26-27 August 2024 , Also, as On Request Dates

ECSA CPD Accreditation. Credits: 2 – CPD Reference number: SAIChE-407.

This new Course is specially structured to cover the very much needed ‘Bridge to Industry’ between the academic and industrial worlds and is thus appropriate for people who wish to advance their understanding of good practices in industry and the special techniques developed by E4A to enable sound engineering design work and problem solving at more effective levels.
The Course also covers an interesting range of engineering work content, and managerial or supervisory topics at a level beneficial to all engineering disciplines.

Attendees are introduced to the E4A variables and particularly critical variables listings for thorough design processing. Much attention is also given to the advanced systems, scoping, information and risk analytical methods. Important variables critical to equipment designs are also thoroughly evaluated.

The E4A technique of final summaries of DESIGN STAGES OR STEPS in Master Charts is also discussed and presented to illustrate the procedures through which a thorough design analysis can be executed and thereby doing more advanced engineering designs and/or problem-solving exercises.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

The main objective is to provide engineers, technologists and technicians with the fundamentals of mentoring methods to apply to their work environment and to assist in bridging the academic to industry world through early use of the techniques provided in this Course.

Economic benefits are achieved through the rapid adaption of the principles provided in the bridging sub-courses presentations.
