Hierarchies

Use of hierarchies at E4A has been found to be a great benefit for setting out types of equipment, materials and other appropriate industrial knowledge into ‘families’ with logical groupings. In some cases, the groupings are also hierarchies of importance rankings as in the representation of plastics properties. In other cases, the hierarchies are purely logical illustrations of typical equipment for example without implying any specific ranking.
